If you have been diagnosed with dry ARMD, there are currently no consistently proven methods of treatments for macular degeneration or surgery options. Using low-vision aids that have special lenses to enlarge nearby objects may help some sufferers. In addition, patients may be able to rely on their peripheral vision to help them see more clearly. As previously mentioned, there is much research going into the macular degeneration treatment of this disease. Recent research has found that high levels of antioxidants can help with prevention and further decomposition.
